My Favourite Overnight Oats | A Breakfast Staple

Overnight oats are an internet sensation right now, and it's for a good reason! They take only minutes to make so they save a lot of time in busy mornings, they're really healthy, and they taste delicious if they're made correctly! I loved making these on school nights, because it saved a ton of time in the morning... but now that school's over, I've still been making them a lot!
They're also super healthy compared to most other breakfasts: the oats, chia seeds, bananas and berries are full of healthy fibre; chia seeds also contain a lot of healthy omega-3 fats, and the soy milk has a lot of calcium and vitamin D. The breakfast looks small, but it's super filling, and it's a great energy boost to kickstart your day! Here's my all time favourite recipe that I decided on through experimenting. Enjoy!

My Planner for July 2015- December 2016

If you don't follow me on Instagram, you probably won't know that I'm a complete stationery nerd. I just love colourful pens and paper, washi tape, stickers and everything in between. I have an obsession with planners (even though I have trouble keeping up with them!) because they're super functional, yet have so much opportunity to decorate with photos and stationery. I recently purchased the Happy Planner by Me and My Big Ideas, and I wanted to share a review of my first impressions on the planner before I start using it. Stay tuned for posts about my planner while in use in the future!

*Note each design of the happy planner comes with a slightly different layout, so check out the company's website to find your favourite! I can only show the layout of the design that I have.*

Amazing Food in Québec | Quebec City Part 3

This is part 3 in my Quebec city trilogy. You can find part 1 here and part 2 here. :)

When you're on any trip, it's important to find delicious food so that you can eat yummy stuff every day, and so that you can try the best of what the area has to offer. Here's a compilation of the best places that my family ate our meals at in Quebec city. Enjoy!

Note: every restaurant or bakery that we visited had amazing staff, and I noticed that they were all decorated really nicely... they all had their own unique atmospheres and decor :)

Delicious DIY Chocolate Pudding | Living the Lactose-Free Life

The last Quebec post will be up soon, I'm just in finals week so I'm using scheduled posts for now :)

My dietitian recently told me to eliminate dairy in my diet for a while to try and "fix" all sorts of issues. This isn't too hard most of the time, because there are so many milk substitutes available, etc.—the hard part of living lactose-free is really in the cooking and baking, and finding good desserts to eat.

5 Free and Useful Apps

Part 3 of my Quebec City trilogy will be up really soon, but this post is up in between! :)

You probably use apps every day... they can be fun, or useful, and they're so easy to access, especially when they're free! Here are my current five favourites that are free, and very useful for day to day life.

Quartier Petit Champlain | Quebec City Part 2

This is part two of my Quebec City trilogy... if you missed part one, be sure to check it out here :)

Quartier Petit Champlain is probably the most popular part of old Quebec. The whole area is a tourist attraction in itself, and it's not hard to see why. It's made up of small brick roads that are lined with quirky little boutiques and cafes, and there are street performers playing music here and there. The atmosphere is cheerful and inviting, and it's a great place to explore and take photos.

Wandering in the Old Town | Quebec City Part 1

My family recently spent a little over a weekend in Quebec City. For those of you who don't know where that is, it's the capital of the French-Canadian province Quebec, and many call it the most European city in North America. There's a beautiful section of the city called "Vieux Québec" (old Quebec) where all of the buildings are very old, but really nicely kept. The area has a very european feel and is a great place to wander around... I decided to take a bunch of photos in and around old Quebec, and I've put together a trilogy of blog posts with these photos.
